2.1 As per Govt. G.R., Food, Civil Supply & Consumer Protection Dept. No. MIS-1003/2742/C.R. 623/NAPU-14, dated 1st

October, 2005 amongst Physically Challenged candidates Only Partially Blind, Partially Deaf and Locomotor Disability (Only

One leg affected) candidates are eligible for this post and candidates only who submit the certificate mentioning clearly such

type of disability will only be considered for the post.

3. PAY :

3.1 Rs.6500-200-10500/- plus other admissible allowances as per prevalent rules.[Total Emolument Approx.Rs.18,525/-

p.m.][Likely to be further revised in the Sixth pay Commission]

4. AGE :

4.1 Not more than 33 years as on 1st November, 2009. Relaxable as per rules.

4.2 The upper age limit shall not apply to the employee of Government of Maharashtra.

5. QUALIFICATION : Candidates must possess -

5.1 A Master’s degree in Physics or Mathematics or Electronics OR

5.2 A Degree in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics Engineering of a Statutory University or equivalent thereto.

6. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : The details regarding duties and responsibilities of the post are available on website of

7. GENERAL :

7.1 Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years.

7.2 There are prospects of promotion to the post of Deputy Controller of Legal Metrology / Registrar, State Consumer

Dispute Redressal Commission, Group-A on pay scale of Rs. 8000-275-13500.

7.3 The posts of Registrar District forum are equivalent to this post & are filled by transfer from Assistant Controller

as per Food & Civil Suppliers Department G.R. No. Grasank-4093/3382/C.R.895/NAPU-10, dated 28th March,

1994. The candidates selected to the post will have to work as Registrars of the District Forum also.

7.4 A person appointed to the post of Assistant Controller, Legal Metrology, Group-B by nomination shall be required to

complete basic training course successfully at the Indian Institute of Legal Metrology established by the Central

Government under section 76 of the standard of Weights & Measures (Enforcement) Act, 1985 before he is

considered for confirmation to the post.

8. NOTE :

8.1 The Commission has taken decision to delete the column No. 6.2 of the old application regarding ‘Do your claim

reservation’ OR column No. 5.1 of the new application regarding ‘Do you claim benefits of reservation such as Fee,

Age and the post reserved for Backward Categories’. However, the backward class candidates and general Female

candidates belonging to the Non-Creamy Layer section will have to claim regarding NCL. In these circumstances, both

the applications, old as well as new, submitted by the candidate, will be accepted by the Commission.

8.2 In addition the candidates should attach separate sheet of details of qualification, along with application form,

starting from S.S.C., H.S.C. and year wise marks of degree and class etc. of each year as per column 21 or 31

in the application form. Specimen of proforma is available on the web site of Commission in ‘specimen sheet of

details of qualifications’ section’.

8.3 The Commission at its discretion, may shortlist the applications for interview, based on reasonable criteria i.e.

experience and/or higher qualification, etc. OR may conduct Written objective type Screening Test (multiple

choice question) to shortlist candidates for interview. The syllabus and medium of question paper and other

details for the test shall be displayed on the Commission’s web site.

8.4 Copies of certificates should not be attached along with the Application Form. However, candidates are required to

furnish an affidavit on a stamp paper of Rs.100/-, affirmed before a Notary in respect of correctness and authenticity of

the information mentioned in the Application Form. Specimen of affidavit is published on the website in the “Specimen

form of Affidavit for Direct Recruitment Posts” Section.

8.5 The Application Form should be accompanied by an affidavit, failing which it will be treated as incomplete & will be rejected.

8.6 The candidate should submit all the certificates at the time of interview as per instruction given in Chapter-4 of the

Prospectus provided along with the application form.

5.3 Practical experience in ophthalmology in a hospital with at least 25 ophthalmic beds for not less than 3 years in the case of
those holding post-graduate degree and for not less than 4 years in the case of those holding post-graduate diploma after
acquiring the MBBS degree.

Pay Scale of Industries Officer (Technical) at Maharashtra Public Service Commission: Rs. 6500-200-10500

Age : 33 years as on 01/11/09. Relaxation in age as per rules

Qualification : A degree in Engineering (other than in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Town Planning or any other subject linked with Civil Engineering Group of Subjects) or Technology, OR a degree in Science at least in second class, OR a diploma of recognised institution at least in second class in any of the subject mentioned in above, and thereafter Practical experience for a period of not less than three years.

Application form for Industries Officer (Technical) Maharashtra Public Service Commission: Application form with Prospectus is available in the designated Post Offices in the state of Maharashtra only in their working hours for which the cost is Rs.100/-.

Fee : Rs.400 (Rs.200/-for BC) should be paid in the Post Office by cash along with application.

The MPSC Civil Services Exam

The MPSC Civil Services Exam

The MPSC ( Maharashtra Public Service Commission ) conducts an examination similar to the UPSC for the recruitment of Class I and II officers like Dy. Coll., Dy.Sp., STO, Tahsildar, B.D.O. etc. The MPSC also conducts examination for the posts of PSI / STI and ASST.

Examination Conducted by MPSC (Overview)

The MPSC or Maharashtra Public Service Commission conducts examinations for the recruitment of officers of Class I,II and III cadres in the state services as follows :

1. MPSC Rajyaseva exam or Class I and II officer exam
Educational Qualification :- Graduate
Age Limit :- Open Category- 33yrs
OBC - 35yrs
SC / ST / NT - 38 yrs
Attempts : No limit

Stages of Exams
1. Prelims -
Objective Type Paper
General studies paper - 200 marks (0.25 negative marking)
2. Main Exam -
Long Ans type paper -
1) English paper - 200 marks,
2) Marathi paper - 200 marks,
3) General Studies paper I- 200 marks,
4) General Studies paper II - 200 marks
5) Optional Studies paper I - 400 marks
6) Optional Studies paper II- 400 marks
Total: 1600 Marks
3. Interview - 200 Marks

Objective Type (0.25 negative marking)
Paper I
- Languages - 200 Marks
- English - 70 Marks
- Marathi - 130 Marks
Paper II
GS - 200 marks
General Studies - 130 marks
Intelligence Test - 70 marks
Total - 400 Marks
3. Physical Test - Only for PSI post - 200 marks
4. Interview - PSI - 75 Marks, STI - 50 Marks

Besides this departmental exams are conducted for recruitment of direct service posts like education department, social welfare department for which specific qualifications are required.
